"Hidden" icon gone
I had a bit of trouble getting the UI to run properly after installing build 5586. After rebooting, things did work properly; but I noticed that the "hidden" icon is gone.
That's the icon that could be used to check the status of ATI, or launch the UI.
It isn't a huge inconvenience, but it leaves me wondering if perhaps something is broken.
Thoughts?

At the far right of the Windows task bar, there's a notification area. That's where the clock sits, among other things.
There's an up-arrow there that opens up a normally hidden area where a variety of programs have quick-access icons. There's typically one for the audio controls, for example. Often you can get at a number of options or features by right-clicking on them.
Acronis TI had one there that would give you the status of TI if you left-clicked, and the option to open the UI (among other things) if you right-clicked on it. That's the icon that disappeared on me.

Right, I've never seen it there before. Hovering above it shows me the current status of the backup. Well, I have it. However, I have seen many apps disappearing and coming back once you signed out or rebooted.

That doesn't seem to do it. It refers to icons on the taskbar, not in the "hidden" area.
In any case, toggling the switch for ATI didn't seem to do anything.

The hidden icons where you are talking about on the lower right side of the display is known as the taskbar notification area thus the reference to taskbar. If you choose Only show notification for an app in this list then an icon will only appear in the notification area. If you choose taskbar and notification you get an icon on both. If toggling the the switch for ATI does not activate the icon in that area then the icon probably is non existent.
I had a look at one of my installs ant the IconCache folder and there are no icons for True Image present. An obvious item left out of the application.

May be just a misunderstanding. See the attached images: At least with me, the icon is not there before or after Acronis is started (=1). It shows up however once a backup job is running (=2).

Thanks, #BS#. I guess they must have changed the way that icon works.
