Problem recurred - delete backup does not delete the file

Thread needs solution

I cannot find my original post. The problem is that when you choose a backup and select delete and then select delete entire backup (NOT just settings or whatever), it does not actually delete the file. I solved this initially by uninstalling and reinstalling True Image 2016, but after the Win 10 updates last week, the problem has recurred. I really do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall TI every couple of weeks; this is a really silly bug. Please fix!

Most likely it is because ATI was not tracking the TIB file properly in its database. Database "corruption" happens for various reasons and actually pretty easily, in particular when TIB files are moved, renamed, when some backup process is interrupted, or even when tasks are edited.

Is the task deleted from the main screen?
Does the log file show any information.
There should be a log entry name
Console with a long cid number. The date and time of the console log message should be a few minutes after the deletion.

Or, at least, in 2016 version, I performed a delete function and the task, and the tib file were deleted
and the console log file created advising of the deletionl

There was a backup I attempted that just hung. I could not even quite True Image with task manager and eventually just rebooted. Perhaps that corrupted the database. Is there a way to fix the database without uninstalling and reinstalling?
