Changing the drive letter of the destination in the settings of a backup

Thread needs solution

I'm using Acronis True Image 2014 Premium.

I've several system backups that have been made on external USB drives. If I plug a drive back into the computer and the drive letter has changed, can I simply go to the settings and change the drive letter of the destination and then carry on with an incremental backup?

For example, if the current destination is z:\Crucial.......... and the drive now appears as r: can I simply change it to r:\Crucial.......... rather than changing the drive letter of the external drive back to z?

I know there's been a lot of discussion of how to change the letter of a drive to one near the end of the alphabet to avoid the problem in the future, but obviously that doesn't help with existing backups.

Use the task edit "MOVE" OPTION and use the move option to point the task to a new location which is the changed drive letter.

DISPLAYING "TRULY" ARABIC NUMBERS!?

I'm running 2014 True Image Premium and numbers in some of my windows are displaying as "genuine" Arabic numbers, that is, not as the "westernized" versions (e.g., 1,2,3,...) but in current Arabic script.

How can I correct this annoying problem ("annoying" because, long ago, on UN duty in Egypt c.1974, I actually could read those numbers, but have long since forgotten;-)

P,S.  I don't recall choosing  the Arabic language or any country other than Canada when installing the application.

Thanks,

Rick

Thanks for reply! I'll make all drives high letters, and then use this option which I guess from your answer is safer than what I was suggesting.

Unfortunately, having tried this, 'move' is not in the list under 'more'.

Is this because TI can't find the backup because the drive letters are different? (Which is where I started!)

Sorry, Derek, about barging into your query, with mine about "Arabic numbers". I'll now try to figure out how to post my query, properly.... ;'-( Rick
