UBS Flash Drive

Thread needs solution

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I'm finally making the migration from burnable CDs and DVDs to USB flash drives for backups, and have a basic question. I know I can create Acronis recovery media on a flash drive, but can I also use that same flash drive for the backup files themselves? I'd like to have a bootable recovery flash drive with True Image on it, and backup files for all my computers. If there's documentation about that somewhere, I'd appreciate a link.
Thanks.

Yes you can. From the AcronisTrueImage main menu choose "Create Rescue Media". Make sure your USB is inserted so the program can "find it". Once the USB has been prepared you can use it to boot into Acronis and make your backup, saving the file to that same USB. A couple of things to consider: the USB should be formatted to Fat32 and (of course) have enough room for your backup. You may come across a USB drive that appears to complete the installation but does not boot - giving you an error something like "boot failure - boot partition missing". I've had that happen with no rhyme or reason, using drives of the same make and capacity.
Feel free to ask for more info.
