Snap Deploy 3.0 needs to be restarted after each image to find a license

Thread needs solution

I have a Snap Deploy 3.0 Server (3329) running on Windows Server 2008 R2.

I have 75 licenses showing in my license server available for 2.0 and 74 showing for 3.0.

I can image 1 computer, then I have to restart. If I don't I get "There is no Acronis License Server installed on ."

It not knowing the server name kinda concerns me. I can connect using the licensing manager and everything is correct, but it still shows no licensing server.

After a reboot, the license I just used shows in the correct screen and I can image 1 more system. Reboot and then do it again.

Any ideas?

Hello Keith!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I will be glad to assist you!

Most probably there is a glitch in connection between OS Deploy Server and License Server. As a workaround I would suggest you to follow these steps:

  1. If possible, reinstall the License Server to any suitable machine
  2. Uninstall OS Deploy Server by means of Add/Remove programs
  3. Install OS Deploy Server anew, manually specifying  License Server ip address.

This should resolve the issue faced. Should the problem persist, I'd like to continue investigation, so I would appreciate if you could kindly keep us posted regarding this issue.
