Please add Validation to Mac version of Acronis

Thread needs solution

Please give adding the sort of validation the Windows version of Acronis does to the Mac version some priority.

Backup software that can’t verify the integrity of the backup data is useless as far as I’m concerned. I really like the way Acronis does validation on Windows but I’ll have to keep using Carbon Copy Cloner on my Macs until you add validation to the Mac version.

(I tried to submit this via the "Send feedback to Acronis" selection under Help in the Mac version of Acronis. It just seems to hang forever. I can Cancel but I guess Send doesn't work. Probably a good idea to submit it as a Forum post anyway to see if  anyone else agrees that not having validation is a show-stopper.)

I agree TOTALLY with Stephen.

Validation of ATIH 2015 with the MAC version (El Capitan) is NOT done as we can expect.

We buy functionality.

For instance the RESTORE (via the Rescue Boot Media) functionality  is not working at all.

What is the interest of ATIH when BASIC functionality such as RESTORE was not validated ?

Hi SVanDee,

thank you for your feedback! I've forwarded request to our development and you can be sure that it will be considered for future program versions

100PIER, could you please provide more information on the problems you've faced? Do you get any error messages? Can you please provide your scenario step-by-step?

Thank you in advance,

Anna,

Thanks to have replied.

All the details , step by step, of the 'boot media rescue' restore issue are posted on this ATIH MAC forum under Post# 101643 dated 2015-10-25.

There are no error message, as reported the "Restore  from Acronis backuped image"  command  is 'dummy'.

Restore can"t be done !

It is very easy to reproduce.

Thanks to help us to get Rescue Boot Media 2015 Restore Function up and running for MAC new OS El Capitan.

Hello 100PIER,

I have investigated the issue and replied to you in main thread for it. I will update that thread as soon as new information available.

Thank you.
