New install do I use CD or downloaded update 7046??

Thread needs solution

Just received TI Home 2010 and haven't installed yet, I registered my serial number, and downloaded the update 7046. My question is:

Should I do the initial install using the original cd or just click on the downloaded update file?
How can I update my original cd to include the update or do I even need to (thinking about when I use it as a boot disk).

Thank you

Original cd not needed for update.
1. Download and install the 7046 build.
2. Use the installed media builder and create a new TI Rescue Cd. (note: write the serial and build on the new Cd.)
3. The original CD is what it is. It cannot be updated but is replaced by the new one you create from the installed version.
4. The new Ti Rescue Cd very important. Check on the signature index link below. Check item #2A, 2B- 2C. While you are inside the index, look at other listings of which might be of interest to you as a new user of TrueImageHome.
5. Do you have any prior version of TI installed? If yes, it will need to be uninstalled before installing the 7046 update Index item 4Q.

Thank you GroverH. I will install the update and no I don't have a previous version installed, this is my first purchase.

So I will just do the install and then create a replacement bootable cd with the latest update. Thank you for all the tips.
