How to copy the download checksums
It has been a while since I was on the Acronis web site and I have downloaded the product I wanted (ATIH 2016) but I am unable to copy the checksum. It's all different now and it appears when I hover over that field but I can't copy it. Is there a trick to it?
I am using IE11 on Win 8.1.
thanks
Bob

You might try some of the suggestions offered in the support link below:

This usggestion may be of some use:
Hi,

Thank you for your response. It is now 6:39am here. I have tried Compatibility View mode and it completely destroys the rendition of the Acronis website.
I will review the MS thread later.

Wow! That's odd. You might try a reset of IE 11 which can change any security settings you have made. To reset IE do this:
To reset Internet Explorer settings
- Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
- Reopen Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset. ...
- In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
I do not wish to alarm you but are you sure your Windows install is valid? A non valid install can cause symptoms like you are describing here.
To check your validation do this:
Please open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/. Don't TOUCH your computer or close the IE window until the remote validator has finished its scan, then restart your computer.

OK, I booted into a Win 10 partition and fired up IE11 and it had the same limitation. I then booted into another Win 10 IE11 (a new installation) and it also had the problem. I then used the Edge browser and I was able to get a copy of the hash (checksum) and my download was validated.
My thanks to all who offered advice.

Glad you found a workaround. Not sure if it matters but below is a link to Microsoft's fix it tool for IE, it might resolve your issue:

We're sorry, but your operating system is not supported by Microsoft Fix it at this time.
MS don't want to talk to me. I feel sad. They seem to have given up on win 8.1

I fired up my lap top with win 8.1 and used IE 11, had the same problem. No problem with Chrome.

Last ditch effort, you could uninstall and then re-install IE 11. Here is the How To link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/318378
The fix it tool not running could be an indication of corrupt Windows system files. Make sure that you run the system file checker after you uninstall IE 11 and before you re-install.
In Windows 8, 8.1 IE is a Windows feature rather than an application so follow the steps to turn IE off, run the system file checker and then turn IE back on again.

It's not going to happen. I'm not going to check the system out nor re-install the browser. I get the same results with IE11 on three win 10 systems and one win 8.1 system. In addition, one of the other posters has the same problem. Where would you think the problem is? It just so happens that Acronis made themselves a web site without testing it with all browsers and it's broken with at least one of them. Most people would not know about this problem because they don't hash check their downloads. I do when they are available because several years back I had trouble with downloads due to a paid for anti virus system crapping multi gigabyte downloads.
Thanks for all the advice

Try using the keyboard. Highlight the checksum and use Ctrl-C to copy. Paste is Ctrl-V.

Thanks Paul, but it doesn't work.
I can't select the field content so Ctrl C doesn't work and Ctrl V just pastes the last copied object
If I left click then it starts a download of the object that I want the checksum for
If I left click hold to select it drags the image on the page
If I right click I get a context menu with no useful options
I stand by my previous conclusion that it doesn't work on IE11 and Acronis didn't try all of the browsers. I can get my results by using the Edge browser. Not my preferred way but I have spent too much time on this already.

I note your comment that copy and paste are not the only abnormalties present with your Win 8.1 IE 11. You ask previously "where do you think the problem is?". Well, I think you simply have browser issues with IE 11. The suggestion I offered is nothing more than a hard reset of the browser which will restore the default settings to the browser which I believe would be your best chance at resolving the issue. Beyond that you might have some luck in clearing the clipboard but given your last post I do not think that would help. If you care to try it though here's how:
- Open Windows Run command screen
- in Windows 8, 7 or Vista: press the Windows logo key
+ R key; or
- in Windows 7 or Vista: left-click on Start button and type Run in the Search box; or
- in Windows 8: right-click on the Start button and select Run
- in Windows 8, 7 or Vista: press the Windows logo key
- Type (or copy and paste) the following in the box beside Open: cmd /c “echo off | clip”
- include the quotation mark before echo and after clip
- include one space between "cmd" and "/" but nowhere else
- Click the OK button or press the Enter key.
I tried copy and paste myself on 3 machines running IE 11 that I have and none of those have issue with copy/paste, right click/left click, select, or anything else. What I do know is that problems like yours can be traced back as far as the implementation of IE 11 and causes range from invalid Windows installations to corrupt addons in the browser and improper security settings in the browser. If it were me I would reset IE, turn off all addons, and see if that changes things. If it does I would then turn on the disabled addons 1 at at time restarting the browser between each to see which one if any might be at fault. If none cause problems and all functioning is normal then I would suspect the reset of the browser has resloved the issue which to me would mean problem resolved, case closed.
