Unable to add machine to AMS
Hi all,
I'm getting the following error when trying to add a server to AMS, the server adds fine to license server (same server). I have tried a clean install on both servers with no success. Both server and client are on latest version, I will point out that the management server is on a different subnet if that makes any difference.

Hello Jeremy,
This could happen for a number of different reasons, including name resolution, network conflicts, user rights, etc.
If this is not a domain environment, I would first start by checking to make sure that UAC is deactivated on the agent machine (you can reactivate it after adding). Also make sure that you are using credentials for an admin on the remote machine when trying to add.
Another step you could try is adding the machine from the agent side by going into the Machine Options on this agent and selecting Machine management as described here: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/#…

Thanks for your responses,
As stated the Management Server and the Licences Server are the same server, I am able to add the licence and communicate with licence server so how can there be a credential issue, DNS, network conflict?
I have attempted to add the 'machine' from both ends with the same result.
The Windows 2008 server I am also backing up added fine (same subnet older agent version).
The 'machine' I'm trying to add is Windows Server 2012.
User account is a local adminstator account and the same username on both the 'agent' and the 'server', they also have the same workgroup name as they are not part of a domain. This is also the account I use to adminster the servers so yes it has full admin rights.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
