True Image 2016 Build 19.0.0.5634 "error 56994: Acronis True Image 2016: "Load library failed with error 1114"

Thread needs solution

hello to you all,

been relying on Acronis TI for at least 10 years, hence I felt fairly certain that the new version (see above) would be perfect for my notebook that has been updated to Win 10 (from Win 7) by clean install. Installation of TI 2016 was no problem, starting it, however a major issue. Google helped and led me to the workaround as far as being able to at least create images (successfully at that).

The thing that was never a problem ever before, i.e. creating a bootable rescue disk seems however beyond hope. I see no way of overcoming the load library fail error message that pops up.

I contacted technical support (chat), was attended by a lady whose expertise I would not want to  discuss, but...

She told me a new build was reckoned to be released by mid November this year and would be glad to inform by mail. All she enquired within 2 days of the chat was whether she could close the case. Another 3 days on I logged myself into my account again and saw that my request was rated  low level. To me that means either no help ever respectively failing customer care.

What I did find on my own today was a tool called Acronis Universal Restore Bootable Media Builder which on the face of it might be the answer, providing somebody gives me a bit of help.

Windows PE ---no option, no idea

Linux Windows style --- yes pls, but which one ?

Acronis TI 2016 installed itself as 32Bit Application although the machine is Win10 64 Bit, a non-UEFI system

I did (shortly) read the helpfile, and of course I could do some trial and error testing, but I would prefer some clear instructions from someone with a lot more knowledge that I could ever get.

I have had no need to restore images in some time but it used to be a simple matter, pop CD in, boot machine, select image to be restored and some time after - great relief, Win was back, fully functional. That's all I want again.

So please fellow Acronis users, let me know what you think of my case altogether and which restore disk  32/64 Bit should I opt for in the Universal Restore Media Builder, notwithstanding the fact that Acronis TI 2016 does not let me create the best, most appropriate ?? rescue media.

Do I need to include drivers and which ? And where would I find them?

I am sorry if my question has been asked before and you feel I did not try hard enough searching for solution. I am well aware that you kind of fill the gap in assistance that Acronis, though by word dedicated to their customers, seem reluctant to give.

If you feel that it's a lost cause, please feel frank to tell me.

Whatever you can advise me on, I will be most appreciative of any answer.

Thanks for reading and hopefully answering

Sigrid

Law would allow me to get my purchase price back, but that is not my issue, I would simply hate to get used to another piece of imaging software.

Take a look here as well:

Thank you both,

apart from yesterday's sad admission that the experts still have not resolved the problem there is nothing new to me

https://kb.acronis.com/content/56994

That was the first thing I found and set correctly on my own, which at least allowed the creation of images but still would not create a bootable rescue disk from within Acronis 2016.

I did install the Acronis Universal Restore Bootable Media Builder

but creating a Creating a custom WinPE 3.0 ISO with drivers, as described here

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/#26978.html

I feel is more than somewhat too difficult for me.

As I stated in my initial posting I would prefer to have a Linux-based boot disk as I had in all my previous versions before.  My hard disk is not an SSD , but a standard Seagate drive.

Please, may I ask again, are you able to help me in creating an Acronis bootdisk for Win10 64Bit that supports a conventional internal drive and which would pick up the image from a USB drive?

Thank you again

Sigrid

Does your netbook have AMD Catalylist Control Center installed?  Do you know if your netbook has switchable graphics capability?  You should be able to determine this from the manufacturer support page or the user manual for your netbook.

If you do have AMD Catalyst Control Center installed did you try applying the fix recommended in the KB 56944 article?  Can you describe how exactly the Media Builder tool fails?  I would think it possible for you to download the Rescue Media ISO file from your Acronis account and then burn that file to a CD or USB stick for use.
