Thread needs solution

Hello Yana,
I try to create image of RAID 1 SATA disks (160GB) on IBM x3550M2 Server (7946-KDG).
Snap Deploy 3.0 vers.3329.
OS: Windows 2008 Server x64 Standard.
I have got a messaqe:
"E000101F4 Acronis Master Image Creator has detected unsupported hard disk drives.
Acronis Master Image Creator does not support Windows Dynamic Disks, Ez-drive etc."
Any sugestions?

Hello Jacek!

Thank you for coming to me witgh this question, I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately there is no workaround in this case. Due to Acronis Snap Deploy limitations dynamic disks and GPT volumes are not supported neither from the PXE nor from the bootable media, and there is no workaround for it yet. We have requested this feature to be added in the future releases, but still we do not have any timeframes when it will be implemented.

In case you need to backup and restore this machine I can suggest you to try Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows. There's no need to purchase the product immediately - you can test the solution for free. Our demo versions are full functional and has only the following limitations:

  1. 15 days of work
  2. Bootable Media CD, created with demo version, can restore only.

Thus you have 2 weeks to see whether backup and restoration of this image works for you. You can find all the details regarding ABR Server for Windows functionality in the Quick Start and User's Guide.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that backups made with Acronis Backup and Recovery will be successfully deployed with the help of Acronis Snap Deploy 3 - compatibility is not guaranteed. But anyway you can test the solution.

I would appreciate if you could let me know whether there is anything else I can do for you or could share your concerns and questions will me - I will be glad to help.

Thank you!

Hello Yana,
I can not test "Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows" because functionality "backup disk" from bootable cdrom is disabled with the trial license key.
