Recovering Mac Hangs

Thread needs solution

Finally got the MBP2015 to boot from the recovery media.  It took almost an hour to create the media on USB.  After backing up from one machine, over 5 hours to backup, I was attempting to restore to another.  I have both BootCamp and El Capitan installed.  After over 5 hours of Recovering, the MBP2015 screen is stuck on "Completed 99%"

Suggestions please?

I will soon have to try to reboot and defer to the old failsafe Carbon Copy and Winclone if this doesn't work.

Just a couple of other notes, Carbon Copy took about one hour to backup the Mac side and Winclone took about 30 minutes for BootCamp.  Acronis 2016 took over 5 hours.

Since 2014, this is right on par with the lesser quality of the Acronis software TruImage products.  Since the first releases of Acronis True Image, I have totally relied on Acronis to backup and restore my PC's with highly reliable backup and restore results.  After a licensing issue with 2014 I was forced to upgrade to the 2015 PC software, while unhappy about a known issue that forced me to upgrade, I was hostage to the issue as I really had to have the software.  With continued issues in 2015 the quality seems to questionable in 2016 as well.

So disappointing...  I really want this software to work as advertised.

Hi Reconguru,

Thank you for your feedback on the product. I regret very much the inconveniences you have experienced with the softare.

Usually when Acronis True Image for Mac gets to 99%, it mght take some time to finalize the operations and finish the writing process, so it doesn't always mean a lockup.

If the software really gets stuck, then please contact our Support Team with reference to this article.

Thank you!
