Trouble with Scheduled Backup
My Acronis 2014 scheduled tasks are mis-behaving. 1st runs, 2nd doesn't.
I have Acronis 2014 installed. It is scheduled to do two incremental backups each night. I backup my C drive (mainly only system databack and some minimal user data) at 1:05am ('Task 1') and I backup non-video data (pictures, music, important docs, etc) from my NAS at 1:15am ('Task 2'). Both tasks send me an email when they are done.
Task 1 runs each and every day without fail.
Task 2 has stopped running. I can run it manually and it does it's thing.
So ... based on this ... the scheduler is working (Part 1 runs). But why isn't Task 2 running?
Note #1: Task 1 takes about 30-45 minutes and, in the past, the scheduler started Task 2 when Task 1 has finished ... so having 1:05am and 1:15am as the kick off times isn't the issue.
Note #2: Task 2 'thinks' about something for a good 30 to 60 minutes before actually appearing to do something.

First place to look is the log file on the missed dates.
c:\programData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs
What settings are you using on the Scheduler/Advanced Settings section?
Which version of Windows? If Win 10, 2014 is not compatible.

Thanks for the reply. I have win7.
The scheduler settings for both tasks are identical (excluding the start time). I have checked and checked this. One runs. The other doesn't.

We have no information about the settings in use.
First place to look is the log file on the missed dates. What doe they say? The log files named "service" and backiup date might help.

Screen captures might help. A picture is worth a 1000 words.

Crazy issue resolved itself. I was taking some screenshots to upload today and noticed that both tasks ran overnight.
Consider this issue closed ... I guess.

2014 (and probably more/all versions) seems to have trouble with scheduled tasks. They seem to start acting erratically...not cleaning up, not running, etc. Grover posted some good advice to my issue here that seems to have worked well (once in a while it acts up). If your issues reappear, you may have some success with the process in the link. (Thanks Grover!)

Androis,
I find the most frequent problems with a backup task is that the user makes configuration changes in the task and the program is not able to correctly react so the 'fix or adjustment' rarely works. When changes need, I find what works best for me to start over with a new task and the correct settings.
Lots of prior postings to help the learning curve which we all must travel.
