True Image Home 2010 (Build 7046) - Start-up recovery manager fails to activate
Hi,
When I rry to activate the start-up recovery manager in True Image Home 2010 using the "Tools & utilities" tab I recieve a "Failed To Activate Start UpRecovery Manager" error message box.
So of course when i boot my machine instead of the option to select the recovery manager during the machine boot I get a very brief error message and my PC continues to boot as normal.
Anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I have the same problem. When I try to activate Recovery Manager it fails.
The Secure Zone was create by the same version of True Image Home 2010 (build 7046). Yes this version was installed over a previous version. I am using Win7 64bit. I have attached the SystemInfo Acronis True Image collected.
BTW: Since I am backing up my OS into the Secure Zone is there a way to actually place the Secure Zone on a different physical hardrive? What does the Secure Zone help me in case of a physical harddrive failure of that drive when I back up the OS and boot drive into it? Just a thought.

Hello Armin,
Let me assist you.
1. It is absolutely normal to place Acronis Secure Zone to a different hard drive, it'll help if there will be any issues with your main hard drive. The only thing is that we do not recommend to create Secure Zone on an external hard drive as activating Acronis Startup Recovery Manager changes the Master Boot Record of the hard disk drive and after disconnecting this detachable drive the machine may boot with a long delay or does not boot at all.
2. Please submit a support request with the gathered AcronisInfo output to our support team directly. We'll surely help you to fix the issue.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.
