OS Restore wont Boot
I have been using ATI12 for several years without any problem....... until recently. Now, when I try to do a backup of my drive containing my OS, it seems Acronis is putting the Boot on a separate(different) drive.
It didnt use to do this and my backups use to just have one drive in the .tib file and I didnt have any problem with my OS Restores not booting, but now if I try to do a 'Restore' they will not boot.
When a Current OS backup .tib file is opened it shows the backup, when that is opened it shows two separate drives C:\ & D:\
In that backup the Boot Files seem to be in both C:\ AND D:\. I dont have a clue how or when the partition on the second drive(D) was created which is where the duplicate boot files are located and I suspect that is what is causing the failure to boot.
What settings do I need to change to keep this from happening?
Also, and this is important, is there anything I can alter in the restore process so 'old restores' with this 2-drive condition will boot?
Thanks for any advice

I may be able to help...Caution, I am using ATI 2014, but looking at your Attachment 1, ATI12 looks similar to 2014. Please proceed with caution, if you elect to follow my suggestions. I recommend using a new disk to give this a try.
Looking at your first attachment, you are using partition mode. I believe that Disk mode is preferred. When partition mode is used, then you must manually (and properly) partition the destination disk prior to the restore. If you use the disk mode for the backup, then ATI will do the partitioning for you during the restore.
Therefore, to do a partition restore, you will need to know the partition structure for the system (boot) disk for your version of windows. I have attached a jpg that shows the partition structure of my Win 7 system disk. Getting the partition structure is your responsibility. If you let me know what version of windows you are using, I will do some searching, but I would search this blog, google, and bing.
Once you get the partition structure, you would use ATI12 to add a new disk, and partition the disk for your version of windows. Once this is done, you can perform a recovery in partition mode.
I successfully accomplished this using ATI 2014. When I booted from the drive, it took much longer to boot, the first time. After first shutdown, all subsequent boots were normal.
Hope this helps... please proceed with caution, let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for your reply Ftr
I will be pretty busy for the next few days and everything is working fine right now but I will try your suggestion and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again,

If your disk is working, I would do a full system backup using Disk mode.
I love happy endings.
