Windows Backup (Windows 7) not functional
I uninstalled ATI 2011 and installed ATI 2016 about two weeks ago. I have just noticed that Windows Backup is no longer functional. It is enabled but it doesn't start when double clicked.
Based on a few things I've read, it might be related to the uninstallation of ATI 2011 but I've not been able to find anything specific on how ATI 2016 is supposed to integrate with Windows Backup in Windows 7. Is there an easy fix to get Windows Backup up and running again?

Thanks for the input. I just ran this and it took about 10 minutes. The summary message was "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".

Hmmm, it was worth a shot. I've just noticed I typed the command incorrectly, it should be sfc /SCANNOW but you obviously did it correctly and your result is correct.
I'm afraid I don't know what else you might try for this. Is it 'file backup' you are referring to or creating full disk images using Windows own disk imaging utility ? I've never used file backup but perhaps you could try disabling it and then setting the task up again.

Did you run SFC from an admin command prompt? If not you should.

Issues like this are part of the reason I will never use any version of Acronis again. When True Image 2011 through 2014 are installed on Windows 7, they automatically hijack Windows Image Backup. When they are uninstalled, they don't automatically disable this integration which leaves the Windows Image Backup broken.

Before you try the fixes in either of these links make a full backup. If you have a recent backup created when True Image 2011 was still installed, your best bet may be to restore it and then disable the Windows Integration prior to uninstalling 2011 again.

I have just re-run it, making sure that I was running it from an administrator command prompt.
The result was the same.
"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I honestly don't know what else to suggest here. This might give some clues... I see McAfee is mentioned here as another problem causer,
