Restoring a *.tib including three partitions

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I would like to know which things are important when restoring a SnapDeploy/TrueImage *.tib which contains three partitions.

The *.tib is saved on an external USB device.

   > Do I have to create three 'target partitions' on the target PC system before restoring?
If Yes: Which partitioning tool could I use - any examples?

   > How do I ensure that SnapDeploy doesn't overwrite the USB disk?
Last Friday it did that ... it's a kind of suicidal behaviour, isn't it? :-)

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Have a nice sunday evening!

Regards

Tommy

Hello, Thomas

1. You do not need to create partitions on the target disk before deployment. Acronis Snap Deploy cleans up the target disk before deployment and creates partitions just like on the source disk.

2. Make sure that you have updated your Acronis Snap Deploy to Update 2. Acronis Snap Deploy 5 Update 2 won't overwrite the USB disk where the master image is located.

Best regards.
