ASRM fails to activate on Win 7 x64 / CD boot activation: Nothing happens
Hi there, pros.
I'm trying to activate the Startup Recovery Manager F11 access from booting up my Windows 7 x64 but it just informs that "the operation failed". It gives all kinds of additional info related to that error and then when I click "check knowledge base for solution", then it tells me that "there is no information available related to this error" or something like that. Check the attachments, please.
The details shows 2 error bundles details of which both include more detailed errors inside of them. Sorry, can't tell it any better.. :/
OK, so then I tried booting up my PC from Acronis CD and I tried to activate the Startup Recovery Manager from that "CD environment" but when I click that "Activate..." option, then nothing happens. No popup windows, no nothing. I just doesn't do anything.
I have tried fixing my Boot sectors with this bootrec or Bootsect commands with choices /FixMbr and /FixBoot or something like that. Can't remember clearly.. But no help. My Windows Disk Management shows that my SYSTEM RESERVED partition has 72MB of free space which I know is enough for the ASRM to work.
I have kind of strange Windows configuration as I have my OS on drive C but my User Profile configured to drive D. Also I have no idea that should all these partitions be marked as ACTIVE or not. Or how to disable the ACTIVE state. Also I have no idea that which partitions should be marked as PRIMARY PARTITION's. I don't even know if this has anything to do with ASRM activation problem.
Attached are some images related to this problem. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank You all in advance!
Yours, Tommi Tiihonen
