Downgrade to ATI 2014

Thread needs solution

I had been running ATI 2014, yesterday I upgraded to 2015 which I bought maybe a year ago.  The interface was unusable, I have a lot of profiles and need to see them in date order.  I found a thread agreeing 2015 was bad, but was led to believed 2016 was better and I upgraded to a 30 day trial of 2016.  Still unusable for me.

I removed 2016 and re-installed  2014- but have lost all my backup profiles.  How do I bring them back?

Hopefully, you did a backup just before you installed 2015...restore that backup, or the last backup before the 2015 install.

Yes I have recent backups on external drives - but I have no  idea what files neet to be restored.

I appear to have found the old settings. restored them using Acronis 2014 to a temporary folder, then closed Acronis and moved them into the real folder.  Will need to do some playing around to be sure it works.

I do have a problem that clicking on a .TIB file does not open the backup file in Explore, but starts Acronis.

At this point, I thnk all my profiles got restored ok, however most of them lost the scheduled run dates/times.

The .TIB file assocation fixed itself somehow.

I had one problem running a C: full backup - it estimated it was going to take 1.5 days - should be more like 3 hours - so I cancelled it
