After installing TI 2016 I have 50+ mms_mini.exe connections

Thread needs solution

What are these and why have all these connections? One is to 4.53.56.204 which I have no idea who or what that is. How to get rid of these all?

Try putting the IP addresses into http://www.geektools.com/whois.php and it will show you who the address belongs to.

On my system I only have three connections for mms_mini.exe which go to Acronis targets but which also reference Level 3 Communications.

Why are they talking to level 3 without resolving to something else? Why is the Acronis program doing this? A bunch of them are to 127.0.0.0, but why that either?

Just a guess here but I think you are possibly having DNS issues.  If your Domain Name Server (DNS) or non functioning/lack thereof the managed machine service (mms) is having difficulty resolving names with IP addresses thus creating numerous attempts to connect.
