batch backups in TI 2016

Thread needs solution

In previous versions I was able to create a batch file to which a desktop short cut was created.  My client could then just plug in an external drive and click on the shortcut.  I cant find any documentation on it and  setting up the backups doesn't seem to present an option to generate that batch file.

What am I missing?

You can still create the desktop shortcut but it is not supplied and you need to do it on your own.

Ths is what the example should look like when pasted into a desktop shortcut.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe" /script:A08C9DCC-EA95-4EF7-A34B-722EA3E3C43E

Change the script number from my example to the script number for your users script number which created the backup task.    When done, substitute your script # and paste the entire command into a desktop shortcut

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe" /script:A08C9DCC-EA95-4EF7-A34B-722EA3E3C43E

1. Browse the c:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\scripts
and locate the script number for a single specific backup task.  The date should be the date of the last backkup.
or you can open each of the scripts inside notepad and the name and number of the script will be inside.

2. Watch the quotes carefully.

Edit update: Correction in code made.

Boris,

Corrections made above.

Confirmed that this works - GH-Storage is spot on now.

Also note that the script needs to be run with an account that has admin access because of Windows UAC.  If run with a regular account, UAC will ask for an administrator account.

Boris,
