Can't Restore Old Backup
Years ago I used to own several concecutive vertions of True Image. Those versions as well as the last backup were on a computer that died a few yeas back. I do have one of the tib files though. It was created in 2013.
Recently I downloaded a new version of True Image, but it wouldn't work with the old file.
What are my options?
Thank you in advance for the help.
P.S.
1. My old account with Acronis was for a different email. That email no longer exists, but I was able to log into my old Acronis accont.
2. The backup file size is 4 GB. It sits on my Google Drive. I will provide you with the access to that folder.

No, I don't have the boot media.
I was hoping that someone from Acronis' support would be able to check the file and upload the restored stuff back into my Google Drive.

Have you created the boot media for your new version of True Image? Running the new True Image from the boot media might work. At this point, you would have nothing to lose.
Have you tried to "Mount" the image?

Providing you registered your old versions at their time of usage/purchase, each of these versions is available to you if you log back into your Acornis personal web account. My signature link item 9 shows how.
Each of your registrationsw will offer a "bootable media download which is an ISO file download & can be burnt onto a new CD to create a new bootable TI recovery CD suitable for either backup or recovery. The iso download is illustrated in figure 7 inside the signature link 9 guide.
A more recent version can usually restore an older verson, but an older version cannot restore a newer version backup.
Likewise, the serial number for each version registered will also be available within your web account.
This information would have been registered by you to whatever email user account you were using at the time of purchase.
You can also contact the forum administrator for assistance with obtaining access to the iso downloads.

At different times I owned TI8/TI 9 Home/TI 11/TI Home 2011. I downloaded all of them today. Most likely that except for TI8, all others were purchased as upgrades.
Today I tried to install the latest of them - TI Home 2011. I got a message: "This program has compatibility issues". My guess it happenned because it was an upgrade. So, I started installing them 1 by 1 starting from ver 8. On version 9 during the reboot the computer crashed with the message:
Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required device is not connected or can't be accessed
Error code: 0xc0000225
Now I am taking the computer to a shop for repaires. But there's no point to try all 4 installs again. What are my options? Can Acronis restore the backup for me for a fee?
Thanks in advance

What OS are you running?

It says Win8 on the laptop. Not sure if I ever upgraded to Win10. I only take this laptop for trips, and it's been many month since I used it last time.
Backup, or mirror file, is saved on the cloud. So I don't have to recover the laptop, but I don't want to crash my active computers.

TI Home 2011 is compatible with Win 8 so you can't install it. If you have a bootable rescue disk you culd try booting from that. You can also try the trial version of TI 2016. Do you want to restore a complete disk to this machine?

I don't have a bootable disk. Everything has long gone. I've tried the new version with no luck. :)
All I need from the entire 4G tib file is 200-300 MB of old family photos. I have the tib file sitting on the Google drive. It's like Dropbox. I can provide acess to the folder with the tib. Uncompressed files can be uploaded into the same folder.

Boris,
Mounting an image is a process whereby a TIB file is assigned a drive letter. The process is covered in paragraph 11.7 of the user manual on page 149. I don't know if mounting images is contained in the trial version. If it is, it would be under "Tools". If you can "mount" the image, you would then be able to copy them using Windows explorer.
