This applies to all versions of ATI, including ATI2015 and ATI2016.

Steffen,
Please refer to paragraph 1.4.4 Supported storage media on page 9 of the user manual.
You should be able to perform a "Partition mode" backup of the old drive, and a "Partition mode" restore to the new drive.
I recommend you do a search of "dynamic" in the user manual. There are many notes and limitations regarding dynamic disks.

ok. good to know.
An other issue is, when i connect a USB disk (Seagate 3,5" with Power), the created rescue media is not displaying this disk.
(It's the disk with the created backups - ntfs formatted.)
It's an HP Pro 6500.
What do i need to do?
thanks

Steffen,
Sometimes, when booting from rescue media, the USB disks show up with a different drive letter than when booting under Windows...so check all of the drives in the list.
If it is still not there, you can activate the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager.
Refer to Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (p. 155 in user manual) for details.
The Acronis Startup Recovery Manager brings up an option to hit F11 during boot up. This brings up ATI2014 using Linux, same as the boot disk, only much faster. Make sure the USB drive is on and connected during this boot up. If ATI now sees the USB drive then you need to create another rescue media disk, and the USB disk should be on and attached when creating the media.
If ATI does not see the USB disk, then you will need to create a WinPE boot disk. Creating WinPE-based rescue media is covered in para 9.2.4 of the user manual, starting on page 167.
