Echo Workstation build 8398 installs Secure Zone whether I want it or not?
Hello, Can someone please help me?
I just upgraded my TI Echo Workstation product to v9.7.0 build 8398. I install the Management Console on my workstation, and I've been updating the Agents on some test workstations.
The problem is, when I select the components to install, I specifically DO NOT select "Secure Zone", because I don't want to have anything to do with Secure Zone.
AND YET, after upgrading the Agent, the workstation's "My Computer" shows "Acronis Secure Zone" !!!!! (see pics attached).
I do not want my users to see this icon, it will only confuse them and I have enough questions to answer. Also I don't know if it would cause problems down the road to leave it there. ALSO IT BUGS THE !$@$#@$% OUT OF ME WHEN "SECURE ZONE" IS INSTALLED when I specifically told it not to install!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can someone please tell me how to update the Echo Workstation Agent with this "Secure Zone" icon from showing up? Or please tell me how to remove it? Properly?
To add insult to injury, if I go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the Agent completely, that stupid "Secure Zone" icon IS STILL THERE UNDER MY COMPUTER, but it's reverted to a "generic" icon!! It's like there's no way to get rid of it!!!!!
And don't tell me to go to "Manage Acronis Secure Zone" and remove the secure zone. There isn't REALLY a Secure Zone there to BE removed, so that option never appears. It's just that stupid icon under "My Computer"!!!
Please help. I really want to get rid of that icon. I really want it to NEVER APPEAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. I would also like to have confidence that Echo Workstation 8398 is not a piece of crap that's installing stuff I asked it not to.
Thanks,
R
Thanks!
