Incremental backups seem too large
I reset everything yesterday and allowed two different partitions to get full then incrementally backed up with two separate backup jobs. Windows 10. No other programs were running than the Acronis True Image 2016 console and a single Windows Explorer window. The backups successfully occured once per hour, albeit not on the hour but each job around 31 or 32 minutes after the hour. The partitions are NOT the boot or windows partition.
HOWEVER, one job made a bunch of 68,615 KB tib files. The other made a bunch of 40,463 KB tib files.
My prior experience with Win7 and Ghost 15, had only 258 KB files made.
So these Acronis incrementals, with no known file changes made, are dramatically larger. For these two jobs alone, with 54 to 168 incrementals per job, the Acronis file sizes add up to 6GB to 18GB. I guess I *can* tolerate that size, when a full backup is 383GB to 405GB.
So now I guess I'm just curious. Is there a way to see what's inside the last incremental?
Is it an Acronis thing?
Is it a Win10 thing?
Thanks
