Recovery impossible

Thread needs solution

Recovery doesn't let me recover an archive, because I am not able to select the destination of a primary disk. Please see the attached images which shows the problem.

The archive shows that there is one disk with three partitions - I want to restore all of them:
NTFS (System Reserved) (C:) - Pri, Act - 100 MB
NTFS (Disk C) (D:) - Pri - 223 GB
MBR and Treck 0

During the recovery setup I should give the Partition location. This works for the first one (C:) but not for the second one (D:). Means I cannot select a destination and therefore I cannot start the recovery.

Any hints?

Christian

Christian,

Which version and build of TI are you using and is this using the rescue CD or starting from within Windows?

If you want to restore all the partitions, then you only need to select the disk number itself, unless you've imaged each partition separately.

I am using the latest version of TrueImage Home 2010 (Build 7.046).

By selecting the disk number all the child entries are selected also (like shown in the images attached to the original message). After installation of a new computer I have just made that one backup of the whole disk which had these three partitions.

I am using the rescue CD.

Colin,

your reply got me thinking again and I discovered the root of the problem :)

The which should be used for recovery was simply to small!! That's it. Maybe TI could have told me that in a message but nevertheless - Problem solved.

Thank you again for your time.

Christian
