I'm trying to install with no success

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to install Acronis 2010 on my brothers computer which he just bought. It's got Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on it. All I get is "Acronis True Image has stopped working." And then it shows this stuff in the window:

I'm trying to help my brother simply get his PC setup so we can take an image of the thing in case it gets all goofed up later.

I am unfamiliar with Windows 7 so...

Any ideas?

First of all, please follow Scorpio's suggestion, register the software under your account and download a latest build.

Additionally, please make sure that the downloaded installation file is not corrupted:

- Download a free checksum utility from http://www.irnis.net/files/xcsci.exe
- Unpack and run the application. Browse and select the installation package you have downloaded;
- Click the "Start" button;
- The MD5 value for Acronis True Image Home 2010 build #7046 must be 0a7f53da49bf03c45b8cb381999d64c4

If the MD5 value is not 0a7f53da49bf03c45b8cb381999d64c4 then you need to re-download your Acronis product.

After that, please temporary disable any firewall/antivirus software and try to install Acronis True Image.

If the installation crashes, please obtain Dr.Watson crash dumps along with Windows System Information and submit a support request.

Hello-I attempted to download/install TI 2010,ver 7046 running Win7 Home Premium 32bit. The program downloaded to a temp folder and attempted to verify the download. It quit without completing the verification and never installed. I cannot provide the information the previous post provided because I have nothing. The program was registered and has been up dated to ver 7046.

Hello All-My mistake. Both DI2010 and DD11(not formally released) are very slow to open. It takes more than a few seconds to open. I allowed more time for it to open the second time and it displayed as required. However,it opens much slower than in the past. Thanks.
