Backup from boot media

Thread needs solution

Is it still possible to do backups with this software without starting Windows through bootable media (USB or CD)?

If so, what is the minimum installation to be able to create the bootable media?

If not, what is the minimum installation to only create archives of the whole drive (no individual file backups needed)?

Thanks for any advice.

Jeffrey, the simple answer is yes - you can do both backups and restores offline from Windows using the Acronis Recovery media that you can create on either CD or USB or both, plus is you use the Acronis Recovery Manager, that will give you a F11 boot time prompt, before Windows starts that can also be used to do these same tasks.

If you have purchased a license for Acronis TrueImage, then you can download an ISO image of the recovery media for your product from your Acronis Account without any minimum installation, otherwise yoiu have to have an activated installed copy of the TrueImage product in order to create the recovery media.

There is no difference in the recovery media as far as either disk, partition or file / folder backups are concerned, the same media can do all of these same tasks.
