surface pro 4 Hard Drive
True image using recovery USB to boot, does not show internal hard drive on the surface pro 4. It does however show external drives. Secure boot is disabled so that is not the problem. Why does it not show the internal SSD. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have both 2013 and 2014, both failed to detect SSD. I tried trial 2016 with the same results. Microsoft does not have a driver for the Samsung MZFLV128 SSD. From what I have found it does not need a driver. Thanks again

Joe, you will still need to build the WinPE Recovery Media with the latest Windows ADK in order to get the required NVMe drivers that are needed for your Samsung SSD, these are included in the latest versions of Windows 8.1 and 10.
See this Microsoft Community post that has a link to a Samsung driver download that works with the Surface Pro 4.
In the earlier forum post that I referenced, Mustang stated the following:
What ADK are you using? Look at C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\. What is the number of the next subfolder. Is it 8, 8.1 or 10? It needs to be 8.1 or 10 to have built in driver support for NVMe drives.
