Missing Files

Thread needs solution

The back up seemed to go fine on my main drive, but two very important folders are transparent. When opened they contain 0 files (pictures and videos). Why is that?

Hi Amy,

Can we have a little more information please.  We know you are running 2015, under which OS?

You are performing (what kind) of back up? on your c:\ drive? and you believe your picture and video files are not present (where)? In the back up image or?

Just need some help so we have a complete understanding of the task and expected outcome.

- Windows 7 operating system
- A complete Drive C back up to another drive (not a clone)
- They're missing in the .tib back up created by Acronis

I've since figured out a way around it, but still wondering what causes it.

Amy, have you checked the Exclusions specified in your complete Drive C backup task - it sounds like the missing items may have been excluded by these default settings and you may need to remove any exclusions that cause this.

For example, default exclusions include System Restore data (System Volume Information), Google chrome and other browser data, including bookmarks!

amy,

The pictures may be there.  Check the picture folder which is located both before and inside the Documents folder.
