cannot remotely install linux agent from AMS after upgrade to 11.7 from 11.5

Thread needs solution

After I upgraded my AMS server to 11.7 from 11.5 I am unable to update the agent on my linux machines, I can update to windows with no problems.  Also I am able to connect to the linux machines from AMS, I just can't update them.  This is the error I am getting. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello, 

According to the error, you are trying to reach the machine by its hostname. Do you get exactly the same error if you try it by IP?

Hello JPay Infrastructure,

I would suggest the following: 

  • Please check that all necessary ports are open;
  • connect to the Agent and navigate to Options > Machine options and then to Machine management. Select Stand-alone management;
  • re-add machine to the AMS using the ip-address and check if remote-installation works now.
  • as workaround you can install the update locally.
