Failure to add old back up to Acronis back up list
When I try to add an older back up to the Acronis back up list (in order to remove it including the register lines), after selecting the appropiate back up, the ADD button appears, but when I click on the ADD-button, the ADD window disappears, but the back up is not added to the Acronis back up list.
I use Windows 8.1
I never had this before, what can I do to fix this?
Regards, Sam

Hi Steve,
I want to add an older backup (not the same name as an existing backup) to the Acronis backup list to remove it, because I had problems with Acronis preventing my system shutting off, messaging "Acronis is currently busy, etc." without ever stopping.
I had to push the actual button to shut it off. I was told by Acronis that this could be caused by removing old backups without using the backup list, so old scripts were messing things up.
I tried to find C:\Program Data\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ScriptsFolder: this is not on my system.
I do have: C:\ProgramFiles(86x)Acronis\TrueImageHome, containing the folders: Image Formats, Locales, Platforms, sqldrivers and x64.
Where can I find Scripts Folder?
Thanks, Sam

Hello Sam, I am assuming that you are running Windows 7, 8.1 or 10, in which case the ProgramData folder may be hidden on your system and you will need to unhide this in order to see the Scripts folder. To do this you need to open Folder Options from within Windows Explorer and select to Show hidden files, folders, and drives then click on OK or Apply.

Maybe this works for you?
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts
Note 'ProgramData' vs 'Program Data' and 'Scripts' vs. 'ScriptFolder'

Hello Cyana,
I tried C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome and found Scripts.
Thank you, I'll ask Steve what to do next.

Hi Steve,
Thanks a lot for your support, I finally managed to execute your instructions and removed the scripts.
I assume and hope the problem with shutting off is gone now.

Hi Steve,
For some time, your instructions seemed to have worked.
I have no old scripts in the Scripts folder.
But suddenly, without me doing anaything with Acronis, the problem raised it's ugly head again, intermittently.
Also this morning after executing the new update the system would't restart, the Acronis messsage was stuck again.
I also wonder what happened to the AcronisSystemReport and screenshots I have sent on januari 23rd:

After telling me the team would be checking it out I never heard from this thread again.
Thanks and regards,
Sam

Hello Sam, this particular issue has been regarded as a high priority problem to be fixed and the Acronis development team are expecting to put out an update for ATIH 2016 sometime fairly soon - April has been mentioned in other posts.
I am sure that your contribution with the System Report has been analysed along with the feedback from other users who have reported the same issue.
What update are you referring to in your statement "this morning after executing the new update" - to my knowledge there hasn't been any update to ATIH 2016 at this time - my own copy states that it is upto date at build 6027?
Please remember that this is a user forum and the Acronis developers rarely post comments here - we do get some updates occasionally from gaidar who is the Acronis True Image General Manager and some of the Support Engineers like Ekatarina who have more direct access to the development team. I myself am another user like yourself other than having been accorded MVP status and given access to a couple of MVP private forums.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your answer.
My Build is also 6027, and funny enough, as I remember correctly, was also 6027 before I got the message that I had to update.
At least I know now that they are working on the "Acronis is terminating.. etc.", which has been bugging me the last days again
(some days there is no problem).
I really appreciate your volunteer actions, otherwise I wouldn't have known someone is trying to fix the problem.
Kind regards,
Sam
