is standard true image going to work given my configuration
i have a modern pc with 2x2TB drives. it was originally in a raid (mirror) configuration, but the raid was lost on a bios upgrade and now i have 1 system disk and 1 data disk (with nothing on it).
I would like to use software to make a backup image of my 2TB system disk onto a 4TB western digital external drive (USB connection), reset the bios to RAID, and then reload my backed up image.
a) which software should i purchase?
b) will it work, 2TB system image to 4TB western digital external book, reset bios to raid, reload image.
operatiing system is Windows version 10, computer has onboard INTEL Raid.
Have any of you done this? it is my livelihood and i don't want to screw it up.

WHY do I have to jump through hoops to have a question answered?I ma a long time user of True Image MANY years!!!! I need this answered now please. I had TrueIOmage 2015 worked fine. I just updated to TrueImage 2016. Now I am UNABLE to look a the .tib . I can not open the archieve in Exxplorer as I have done for years!!! I have read othes are having the SAME issue. What gives? File associations don't fix this issue. This goes for backups from 2015 and the new backup from 2016. Please answered as soon as possible. Thank you. Fred

Fred,
I will do my best to answer your question.
If this started immediately after upgrade, then something went wrong with the install. When you performed the upgrade, did you uninstall ATI 2015, including using the cleanup utility, prior to installing ATI 2016?
The procedure for uninstalling ATI 2015, including a link for the cleanup utility, are contained in the link below:
https://kb.acronis.com/content/48668
If you did not uninstall ATI 2015, then you need to uninstall ATI 2016, using the procedure in the link above. It works for ATI 2015 and ATI 2016. You will reboot the computer. When you perform the install, don't double click on the file...right click and select Run as Administrator.
If you did uninstall ATI 2015 before installing ATI 2016, then I would recommend a "Repair" install. Run the install file and "Repair" is one of the options.

As an MVP, I have to bite my tongue on this, but seriously, this is how you post to a forum looking for help from other forum users? Kudos to FTRPilot for taking the time to respond.

MANY thanks for the help and QUICK response!!!!
I will give it a try. I downloaded over the exsisting TrueImage 2015 without uninstalling. Have done it in the past without an issue. Normally a program will tell you or reject or uninstall if it needs to. The install went flawlessly, except no the .tib is not able to be read. Apprecaite it again!!! Fred
