Can I delete intermediate backup files?
Hello all (my 1st post in the forum :) )
I have a question about incremental backup:
actually I understand the system generates a master backup file
Entire PC (PC-STANZANI)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib
and a sequence of incremental backup files
Entire PC (PC-STANZANI)_inc_b1_s1_v1.tib, Entire PC (PC-STANZANI)_inc_b1_s2_v1.tib, Entire PC (PC-STANZANI)_inc_b1_s3_v1.tib etc.
Can I safeli deleted the old file without affecting the restore capability? I assume the answer is yes (it would be insane to force the user to keep the full backup chain :) )
thanks much

thank you so much
"Since the incremental files only contain what was changed from the initial full backup vs what is on your hard disk" I then understand that I can safely destroy any of the incremental files, right?
they are not SO small (some gigs, : I understand that small / large is somewhat relative concept ;)
