I cannot get ATI 2016 to send notifications by email..
My ISP (WorldAccessNet.com aka wa-net.com) says also to add SSL encryption for both POP and SMTP. I cannot find the place to specify this for incoming mail. When I select the button Send test message, ATI goes into an endless loop.
My settings are in the attached file.
3-year old Dell desktop with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Original problem: I checked my email settings with my ISP, including addresses of incoming and outgoung servers, the port numbers for each. They responded with attached email. You can see from my earlier post that I changed port 465 setting to SSL, but I was unable to find a field to set port 995 encryption to anything. Perhaps there is something that gets lost on terminology.
I can use forwarding of gmail to my preferred account, but this introduces a lot of unwanted spam into my preferred email account I already feel overwhelmed with spam on my primary account.
Problem 2: When I tried to comment on my issue I got message that my login credentials could not be accepted. Now here I am logging into the front forum page for True Image home. I obviously got into this page with the correct login credentials as stored in my password manager. This user hostility should be done away with, if you please.
Thank you.

Norman, one thing you should try is to deselect the option to Log on to incoming server - this should not be needed unless your ISP demands that you need to do this before being allowed to send outgoing mail.
With the gmail settings, you are not doing any forwarding as such, the notification emails will come directly to your wa-net.com account from the gmail account that you use for the outgoing mail server. I do not get any other gmail 'spam' or other mails with this configuration - my gmail account is only used for Acronis notifications.
Sorry to hear that you had problems with login credentials to the forum, I am afraid that I have no control over such issues as am just another user like yourself in these forums. I do not work for Acronis nor am I paid anything for the time I offer here voluntarily.
http://www.hei.net/support/Email/WindowsMail may be useful, though I suspect you have already viewed this or similar pages for email configuration on your ISP.
