Recovery CD (TB-2015) does not find any disks
Hi,
my Laptop (HP nc6400, Win7, 256GB Samsung SSD) crashed and I try to restore my backups.
TB-2015 (newest build) Recovery CD does not find any disks(same result, when i try a second recovery cd which was build on a second PC, sam resuklt with an usb recovery stick). I tried all recommended BIOS settings)
Disk-Director 11, which is also on that disk, finds my disk without problems.
Seams to be a bad bug.

Nick, if you sign in to your Acronis Account you can download an ISO image of the latest ATIH 2015 Rescue / Recovery bootable CD - these default boot CD's are based on Linux and if they do not see your drive then you would need to create Window PE Rescue media. If both your 2013 and 2014 recovery disks can see your drive, and assuming that they are also the standard Linux media, then your 2015 linux media should be able to too!
If you still have a problem, then you could sign up for a trial of ATIH 2016 (no need to actually install it) then download the 2016 Rescue ISO image from your Acronis Account and try that for booting. The trial media can be used for Recovery.
See KB document https://kb.acronis.com/content/2768 for the limitations of trial media.

Hi Steve,
thanks for your help.
The 2013 and 2014 Recovery CDs are not original. I've created them within True-Image. I dont't know if they are Linux-based than, but they are working.
The original TI-2015 Recovery CD works too. I will use them in the future instead of the one which I created in TI-2015.
Maybe you can give me another help:
In TI-2014 an before (down to TI-2009) I was able to choose a special file within a chain of incremental backups and restore everything until that special file/date.
If I have a full-backup and a chain of 10 incremental backups, I can delete the last 5 incrementals and do a restore to the 5th. inc file.
This worked with al TI-versions incl. 2014. In TI-2015 I'am not able to restore the backup. TI always tells me that tib files are missing. Do you know how I can solve this ?
Regards.

If you are manually deleting incremental images from your version chain outside of Acronis, then this will upset the database that holds information about the integrity of the version chain.
When this happens, then open ATIH 2015 and use the option to Validate the backup - this can be found by clicking on the (\/) icon to the right of the backup task name. Validation should offer you the option to ignore the deleted images and once it has completed, you should then be able to restore from the remaining version chain (assuming that validation does not find any other issues).
