Hello Hussam,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely resolve this for you.

Our software uses certificates for network communications between different computers. Sometimes, the certificate can get corrupted or the user does not have the required permissions in order to use the certificate. This issue occurs on the machine where the Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Agent is installed.

To resolve this problem, on the computer where the agent is installed, please check permissions first:

 - Go to Start - Run - regedit
 - Right-click the following registry key and go to Permissions;
      HKLM\Software\Acronis\Encryption\Server
 - Set the permissions for the key to full control for everyone

Please check if the issue re-occurs. If it does, please perform the following:

 - Launch the command prompt (start-run-cmd) and navigate to the following directory: cd C:\Program Files\Common Files x86\Acronis\Utils

 - Issue this command: acroniscert.exe --reinstall and press enter.

 - Restart all of the Acronis services.

Should the problem re-occur, please contact our support directly and ask for the case to be escalated to our Expert team. Please include the following information.

1. AcronisInfo report from the agent and management console machine.

2. Refer to this thread and mention that you have tried the 2 solutions suggested by me.

If you need additional assistance, please let me know and I would really appreciate if you can let me know if this resolves the problem.

Thank you.

I'm having the same issue, but I've used a bootable CD. I have no access to files on the hard drive as there are no files on the hard drive. I did a backup and now I'm trying to do a restore, but the machine is not recognized, and trying to use the local manage on the machine I do not get access to the Central Vault where my backup is stored.

I'm currently without a machine.
