Failed to read data from disk
NO OFF-HOUR BACKUPS CAN BE DONE. Product: Acronis True Image. Error - "Failed to read data from disk. Failed to read from sector '5,618,637' of hard disk. Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A) Unknown status. (0x9) The parameter is incorrect (0xFFF0)" I found this error in your data base and refreshed software with latest version 2016-6027. Error not corrected. Software errors every time a backup is initiated! Even tried multiple internal and external hard drives.

I agree with Steve, seems like the disk has bad sectors and that is the culprit, not Acronis in this case. I would run an elevated command prompt and use Micrososft chkdsk to see if it detects the errors and/or can repair them
chkdsk /f /r
You may also want to try a third party (free) utility for a second opinion on the disk health. Bad sectors/failing disks can most certainly prevent a drive from being backed up or restored. This could be either the source disk (the current OS disk) and/or the destination disk - best to check both to be certain

Thank you for your replys. Here is a little more information. I suspected bad sectors as well so this is what I have done so far:
1) Reformatted the 2 TB external drive I was using and tried the back-up again...same result.
2) Tried backing up to the second external drive (4TB)...same result.
3) Tried backing up to all 4 internal hard drives (all 2TB)...same result.
4) Refreshed the True Image 2016 software with latest build...same result
5) Uninstalled the software and reinstalled it with the latest build...same result.
6) Looked up the problem in the knowledge database and found that the error is a known error and the fixes suggested I have already tried.
37280: Acronis True Image: A Backup Attempt Fails with "Failed to
read data from the disk" and 0x000101FE+0x0010C45A+0x00100155
I am no longer thinking this is a disk sector problem. If either of you have any additional suggestions I would really appreciate them. Right now the software is pretty much useless as an overnight backup solution for our business.

Neil, you can test whether this is an Acronis application problem by trying an alternative backup solution such as the free Macrium Reflect product - if that also gives you the same error then you are looking at a bad sector on your source drive (based on your own tests above).
Another way of testing is to try doing a backup using the Acronis Rescue media outside of any Windows involvement where you are either booted from the standard Linux boot media, or if you create it, Windows PE rescue media.

Neil, as Steve suggested, try the offline bootable recovery media and see if it helps at all. You can also select the option to ignore bad sectors/errors, which I would do in this case and see if it can recover the data, or at least most of it.
The other thing you may want to try is completrely disabling Windows VSS (Volue Shadow Service). Acronis will try to use this by default, but the service may be unavailable or corrupted in Windows (for who knows what reason). If you disable VSS, Acronis will try to use its propriertary Snapapi backup service which "usually" works if/when VSS in unabe to. In most cases, Snapapi will do the job fine on its own. It's only necessary to have VSS running and working if you are backing up databases like SQL or Oracle where the database is in use during a backup. If not, then Snapapi should work just fine, or, stop those databases before backing up with VSS turned off to avoid corruption in those databases. Worth a shot anyway.
https://kb.acronis.com/content/48686
IF you are able to backup without VSS enabled, then it is most likely a Windows issue and/or at least something to do with VSS. If so, you may be able to do an inplace Windows upgrade to repair Windows and keep all of your files, settings and applications, while resolving the Windows issues that are preventing VSS from working correctly.

Pablo, you probably want to start your own thread for this so that it doesn't get lost in this one and we don't hijack the original post.
I don't think Acronis True Image Home is designed for your setup as it is not intended for Server OS and/or Linux OS. You may want to contact customer support to see if they can recommend an Enterprise application such as Acronis Snap Deploy or another version that may be better suited for your situation.
