Windows boot with 0x000000f and Repair your computer is not compatible.
I backed up a fully patched Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise Image. I recovered the image back into the same drive and upon reboot, I encounter the 0x000000f as though BSC Boot was corrupt.
When I tried to use System Recovery, the same boot disk gave me the 'This Version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair" Popup.
Is it the UEFI boot process or how the Windows CD was booted?

Great info Bobbo. Fixed
Yes I selected the entire disk by checking the top box and the original install was MBR. When I booted Acronis via USB, I didn't pay attention to Legacy or UEFI. I just picked one from the boot list which happens to be UEFI. When I read your post and you stated black windows with white number, the ligh bulb came on. When I booted the Acronis again and picked the Legacy device off the boot menu, I saw the color screen which I have never seen. I stated Acronis in MBR/Legacy and did the restore. When I booted the machine the error was gone.
For the record, it was done on the same Laptop and Hard Drive. Backed up the HD and restore it right back. Did not reformat, just let Acronis do it's thing.
I did not know it made a difference how you boot up Acronis. I thought once it started it was good to go.
Thank you for your help. -

Glad to hear it! Yeah, depending on which way you boot, is how the new disk will get formatted and partitoined. I think this is related to all installers these days (unless an option is avaialbe in the application to choose - which I don't know of any off the top of my head). Even Windows installers work the same way -I just tested the other day when I rebuilt my PC. For some reason it was not detecting my USB Win 10 installer in UEFI mode so I tried it anyway and it ended up being a legacy MBR install as well. Finally got the UEFI think sorted out and reinstalleed that way and it made it UEFI GPT by default.
