Backup 11.5 and Universal Restore Tool Problem

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to restore a backed up hard drive to a new machine using the Universal Restore Tool.  I'm getting the error shown in the picture.

What I figure is that I'm missing a driver the URT is looking for, but I can't for the life of me determine what it is or where to get the driver it's looking for.

I'm hoping one of you experienced users can help me out with this.

Hello David,

According to the open resources PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7801&SUBSYS_FC671179&REV_40 matches AMD SATA Controller:  http://drivers.awdit.com/hwid/pci/ven_1022/dev_7801/subsys_fc671179/rev…

I would contact the hardware manufacturer to obtain proper drivers for your hardware.

Thank you,

I wish to use "Universal Restore".  It was bundled with Backup and Restore 11.5  when I made the first purchase, but I have never used it and it is said to be a separate product after upgrade.

1. How can I get it now?
2. What if I "downgrade" the product?
3. What if I upgrade the product again after "downgrade"?

I look forward to your reply.

Regards,
William

Hi William,

All current versions of Acronis products have Acronis Universal Restore. If you upgrade to the latest build of the program from your Acronis Account, you will be able to use it without the necessity to install any additional modules (AUR will be embedded in the program).

If you downgrade the product, the option will still be activated and covered by your current license.

Regards,
