Hi Tuan,

Acronis Backup 11.7 cannot recover backups created with Acronis True Image 2016. It can however restore images created with Acronis Backup (& Recovery) 11.5.

In order to understand what is the cause for the failure we will need to see the full error message.

You can also vaildate the image to see if it is consitent and not corrupted.

Jury, is this a change in 11.7?  I have recovered ATIH 2016 and Snap Deploy 5 images using workstation 11.5 without issue in the past (and vice versa).  To me, they have all basically been interchangeable when necessary to do so.

I have had to resort to this on some occassions when Snap Deploy deployment from the server is not possible from the remote server and the Snap Deploy 5 offline recovery media does not have the proper drivers in Linux for the PCIE NVME drives.  I would normally just use the WinPE in Snap Deploy 5, but since "by design???" Snap Deploy 5 WinPE does not have the stand-a-lone option like the default Linux Snap Deploy 5 recovery, I've had to resort to using the 11.5 workstation offline bootable media to change the SID and generalize the drivers on the fly.

hi Jury,

I recived the errors, pls see the Attach file. I backup by Acronis Backup 11.7 and recovery by Acronis Backup (& Recovery) 11.5

Thanks

As the error states, you can't recover backups created by version 11.7 using the older version 11.5 . Create or download the bootable media for your current version and use it.

My version don't have a option Recovery into Bootable media builder function...i need the source Backup & recovery 11.7 pls

thanks so much

Did you create this media using Media Builder or did you download it from your account? Recovery button may be missing if something went wrong with the license, e.g. if the ramdisk from the media is placen on a PXE server.  The media downloaded as .iso file from the account and burned on a CD disk should work, if it doesn't - please contact he support.

I too created a backup using v11.7 (<25> 48 GB .tib files) onto GPT volume drive (backup ran without errors). When I boot using a flash drive and load the WinPE & Acronis frontend, I go to GPT volume drive location with .tib files and Acronis says there are no backups at this location (no files can be seen there in Acronis either). TIB Files are visible in Windows 7 at stated earlier location. What am I doing wrong here?

Windows 7 Pro x64
Backup Advanced 11.7 u1
USB Flashdrive -> Acronis Media Builder v11.7 & Rufus portable v2.15

Hello TGW,

have you tried clicking on Refresh? This operation helps to detect .tib files by scanning the directory and updating the meta-information about backups located there. More information you'll find in 36474: Acronis Backup 11.5: Bootable Media Does Not Show Backups Created from Previous Version.
