how to validate a disk image created with splitting enabled

Thread needs solution

Hello.

I created a disk image on my secondary hd, I choosed to split it in chunks maximum size 4.7 Gg and to validate it during creation, 11 chunks were created normally.

Then I decided to validade again my disk image.

I was expecting I would have to select the whole bundle (11 chunks) in order to validade it. But it seems the programs allows one chunk at a time to validate.

By sheer chance I decided to validade the bundle backwards, starting with chunk #11 which was then validated and found ok.

Then I browsed and choosed chunk #10, but the program sticks to previous chunk #11. It's like the program don't let me choose to validade any chunk other than #11.

I didn't find any related information neither on Acronis forum nor elsewhere.

Maybe, when you create a disk image enabling splitting, all you have to validade is the last chunk ?

Please help me.

Hello Dilermando!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad you joined us!

I would like to assure you that there is nothing to worry about. When you specify the last piece for validation, the product automatically find all previous chunks and validates them as one image. Thus in case you're reported that validation completeled successfully, you can be sure that entire backup was validated fine.
