No they are not options or add ons.  What you should see is a Windows Explorer screen appear when you select More Tools which lists the tools available for your selection.

If you do not see that then I would suspect that there is a problem with your application installation related to the Windows integration of the application.  I recommend that you first try to repair the installation which hopefully will remedy the issue.

To repair the install open the Windows Remove programs function, find Acronis True Image in the list of applications, select it by clicking on it, then choose Uninstall.  You will be presented with a menu box from which you can select Repair.

Ditto to Enchantec's post.  When I click on more tools, it opens Windows Explorer and takes me to a bunch of shortcuts for various Acronis applications that are installed with the application.  If you're not getting the same behavior, try the repair first.  If that doesn't fix it, clean uninstall and reinstall.

You can get to the 'More Tools' window from the Start >> All Programs >> Acronis menu structure as both options open the same Windows Explorer panel, see screen shots below.

thanks everyone,

I upgraded to win10 last weekend and have been having these kind of annoyances since.

a repair install did not fix the link. Uninstall, run the cleanup tool did not either. the problem is definitely a windows problem.

now on to testing the recovery .............

thanks again

Hello Vega,

I would also suggest you to delete the entire folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Acronis from Windows Explrorer, and then repeat Repair attempt. Installer will detect that Acronis folder in Start menu is missing and will re-create it, assigning all the necessary permissions.

If the issue persists, there could be a problem with redirecting the call from Acronis graphical user interface to Windows Explorer to open folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image\Tools and Utilities. You can always create a shortcut for that folder manually in Windows Explorer for quick access in the future.

Slava
