Backup wizard doesn't backup

Thread needs solution

When I try to backup a hard drive, I choose the source drive and the backup drive, name the folder in the backup drive and click ok. Then Acornis goes dead. Nothing happens no matter what I click on. The screen where I clicked OK goes away. The previous two screens stay up but my I will try reinstalling the software but would appreciate any suggestions in the mean time.

When I click on Ctrl-Alt-Del to see what is going on, I'm told that acronis is running and it is waiting for a response from me. I am usuing a three year old computer with Vista.

Try performing when booted from the TI Rescue CD.

What version of TrueImage are you using?

I'm using a trial of True Image Home 2010. Sorry but I recently realized I posted this in the business forum instead of the home forum. For simple backup like this, can't I just copy and past to the new drive?

You are posted into the TrueImage Home forum.

Sure you can copy & paste your personal data. You don't need TreuImage(TI or ATI) for that. TI is a backup software which enables you to create backup copies of your hard drive so that in the event of need/failure, etc, you can restore either to the same drive or another new disk and have thing running immediately. Suggest you spend some time doing some research. Click on my signature link below and look at the items in #2 and parts of 7. This is a good place to get started if you are new to TrueImage. The user manual also available for download.
