TrueImageMonitor.exe stopped working after upgrade
I am getting TrueImageMonitor.exe stopped working after upgrade (AcronisTrueImage2016_6559) 18-April-2016 version. I performed a reapir and did not fix the problem. The operating system is Windows 10 32-bit. I did not see this problem with version Acronis True Image 6027.

Thanks Steve
I uninstalled ATIH 2016 version 6559, applied Cleanup Tool, then installed 6599. I did not copy database and script files. I tried to run version 6559 for a new backup and to a new location I am getting " unable to create volume snapshot" backup failed. I set the status of Windows 10 services Volume Shadow Copy and Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider to Manual as suggested by (48686: Acronis True Image 2015 Errors Out with “Unable to create volume snapshot”).
I am not able to backup. Any suggestions to solve the problem.
I should have stayed with version 6027 everything was working fine.

Norm, there is a simpler method of forcing the Acronis backup task to use its own snapshot utility instead of the Windows Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) - see post https://forum.acronis.com/forum/45832#comment-346558 from Slava, one of the Acronis Support Professionals.

I had the same issue with my update of version 6559 failing. I followed your advice and did a complete uninstall and reinstall. However, when copying my database folder back to the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ location, three of the files would not overwrite the exiting files from the new installation. These are the archives.db, archives.db-shm and archives.db-wal files.
Any suggestions on how I can get these 3 files copied to my Database folder? Thanks

Joe, in order to replace the Database files, you must ensure that there are no active Acronis Services or Programs first, otherwise you will encounter locked files as you have done.
See https://kb.acronis.com/content/56697 for a list of all Services & Programs.
To stop the Services, type Services.msc in the Run prompt then choose Services - stop the 4 Acronis Services.
To end the Programs, start Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del or right-click on status bar), find the Acronis programs and end them.
Then repeat your attempt to copy back the Database files. Probably worth renaming the current Database folder then copying back the saved folder of the same name.

Thanks Steve, for the very helpful and quick response. This did the trick.
This has been a major annoyance and doesn't do much to inspire confidence in Acronis products. I've probably spent a minimum of two hours today uninstalling, doing cleanup, manually editing the registry, reinstalling, rebooting, copying database files etc. This experience is making me reconsider if I should start the hunt for a better imaging software.
