Two newbie questions
I have used several different backup programs over the past years (Norton, Bounceback, Carbonite, and Comodo) and am trying to understand how Acronis handles things differently from what I am used to.
1. I backup my OS and data drives at different times of the day to two separate network drives. One backup drive is for OS backups and that should backup at one specified time per day. A different backup drive is for data backups and that should backup at one specified time per day. In Acronis I can't see a way to easily see if both backups have completed. The "backup" tab shows the last backup and next backup but only for one drive and I am pretty sure the data reported at the top at the moment is for my second backup (data) but it actually showing my OS disk in the blue column and the images in the middle are not correct for the backup that ran at 1:56.
How do I make my second backup show up in the "backup" drive tab in order to see if it ran?
2. I have the two backups scheduled to run about 30 minutes apart. If the first backup takes longer to complete, e.g., more change in source location, what happens to the second backup? Will it run on time, run late, or not run at all?
Thanks.

Ripper,
You can also download the Log File Viewer:
https://forum.acronis.com/forum/115626
The log file viewer will also confirm that the backup was successful. And it will provide valuable information if something goes wrong.

Ripper,
Every backup task you create should (will) show up in the management console as well. From there it will tell you the last time a backup ran and whether it was successful or not.
If your second backup task is seperate from the first one, if it is scheduled to run at a certain time, but missed because the first one ran long it will pick up as soon as it's available to run. Check out the scheduling information in the online user guide:
http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/#7941.html
Advanced settings
Clicking Advanced settings allows you to specify the following additional settings for backup and validation:
- To postpone a scheduled operation until the next time the computer is not in use (a screen saver is displayed or computer is locked), select the Run the backup only when the computer is idle check box. If you schedule validation, the check box will change to Run the validation only when the computer is idle.
- If you want to wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer to perform the scheduled operation, select the Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer check box.
- If the computer is switched off when the scheduled time comes, the operation won't be performed. You can force the missed operation to run at the next system startup. To do so, select the Run at system startup check box.
Additionally, you can set a time delay to start backup after the system startup. For example, to start backup 20 minutes after system startup, type 20 in the appropriate box.
- If you schedule a backup to a USB flash drive or validation of a backup that is located on a USB flash drive, one more check box appears: Run when the current destination device is attached. Selecting the check box will let you perform a missed operation when the USB flash drive is attached if it was disconnected at the scheduled time.
- If you want to regularly back up data located on a removable media (for example USB flash drive) or remote storage (for example network folder or NAS), we recommend that you select the Run when the current source device is attached check box. This is useful because an external storage device may be often unavailable at the scheduled moment of backup. In that case, if the check box is selected, the missed backup operation will start when the device is connected or attached.

Thanks to information provided by the 3 MVP volunteers my two backups have been successfully created and the first chained versions ran as scheduled. Now I have a question about email notifications which I have placed in this forum on a separate post to keep things clean.
Thanks guys.
