True Image 2013 downloads to my computer, but won't "FINISH". It never boots up! I won't buy upgrade!
I'm having the worst time in the world trying to get Acronis to respond to my activation issue!
I am a paid, licensed user for 2 home computers on True Image 2013. My serial numbers are all good, I receive a fresh download from the Acronis website. BUT....the download never boots up or works!!!!!
This is the same darn problem I get every 2 months or so when I now try to use the Acronis software! I would gladly buy an upgrade to the 2016 version for 2 computers, but no sales help is ever answering the phone when I call. And second....do I really want to buy another product from Acronis when simply trying to use the features of your backup program are blocking me from using what I paid for?
I don't know how many more times I going to let myself get kicked in the teeth when trying to get your software to work. Is this isn't the definition of "insanity", then I don't know what is?!
I've WASTED hours trying to read through all the forum stuff, and there is no history of problems similar to mine. I have learned, however, that the great majority of pissed off Acronis users don't seem to be getting positive results from this forum....just like me. If only we could return to the common sense of the way businesses in the world used to work: you pay them money to buy their product - and they ACTUALLY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND GIVE CUSTOMERS THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO ACTIVATE THE PRODUCT!!!

Hello Scott, welcome to this user forum where other users can try to help you with your questions etc.
Please can you clarify exactly what problem you are having here as I don't understand what you mean by "the download never boots up or works"?
What exactly are you downloading and trying to boot?
Everytime I click on the TrueImage.exe file, I only get the standard default page on the Acronis website with the three drawings: “How to back up? When to recover? What is Acronis Cloud? (see attached .jpg TrueImagedefault.jpg photo of that page).
Do you have ATIH 2013 installed on your computer? Yes, it is installed under “Programs” on Windows 7 (64 bit)
What version of Windows are you using? Win 7 – 64 bit
What error message or symptoms do you encounter, what options are given, what did you do leading up to the error?
No error message. The simple fact is that every time I try to open Acronis, that darn default page ( see Proof of my 2 licenses.jpg) keeps coming up. That’s the standard behavior for Acronis when it won’t recognize you as a customer (I currently have two computers licensed to use this software!)
Sorry for a long list of questions but I have very little to work with so far.

Scott, thanks for the further information and screen shots.
Let's start with your first image - default page. This is the ATIH 2013 application Getting Started page and is the correct initial page that gets shown.
If you look at the same page on your computer, you will also see 3 other page tabs across the top of the page.
Click on the Backup and Recovery page tab and you will see the options needed to create a backup of your system. On this same page, you should see the activation status for your installed product, this is shown in the bottom status bar of the program.
Once you have selected any of the other pages in the ATIH 2013 application, then that page will be shown the next time you open the program, assuming that it was open when you closed it.

Steve,
Thanks for following me further on this curious malady.
The index tabs across the top are very familiar to me. I have done about 40 backups using those exact tabs over the past 5 years. HOWEVER....none of these tabs REACT when I click the mouse cursor on them. They just sit there...and not responding to any number of clicks on ANY of these tabs.
Any ideas at this point?

I agree with G. Uphoff. This behavior usually indicates that the product is no longer activated. Try clicking the help icon in the top right corner and then select activate in the context menu.
If that fails you may need to uninstall the program through control panel and then run the 2013 cleanup tool to remove any orphaned 2013 registry settings that may be causing this issue. The cleanup tool and instructions are in the link below.

Acronis also provides perpetual support for licensing and activation issues. Use the link below to contact Acronis support directly. In the first drop down box select Customer care and then select Product Activation Issues or Serial Number Issues in the next box to activate the chat and email support options.

BRAVO! BRAVO!! Yes, the "Activate" button hiding inside of the "?" was never a move I contemplated since I had already been given a "successful activation" by the website download earlier today.
So, I clicked on it, entered in the correct serial number and JOILA'...my desired "RECOVER" function came up fully enabled.
Many thanks to YOU Joey, and to G. Uphoff and Steve.
I will make a permanent GIANT note of this little episode so I never overlook the activate feature again.
All is well now, back in the Kingdom of Nye.....
