backup process stuck at 0%, timeout from server

Thread needs solution

Hi, we use Acronis Backup and Recovery 10, server is installed on Windows Server 2008, machine we want to backup is on Ubuntu 10.4. Firewalls are down, everything is wide open. Backup process started but it's stuck on 0%. This is what we get from clients end:

Hi Yana, thanks for answering..

got a new problem though, just wanted to start with all the invastigation you asked me to do but acronis_mms service wouldnt start up so now I can't see machine on Acronis B&R 10 Server.

Why is the reason for this? It worked fine yestarday and I didnt change nothing, just restarted the machine.
Before we take on the problem I mentioned earlier please tell me why acronis_mms won't start?
