Acronis UEFI Loader

Thread needs solution

My desktop computer (windows 10) now interrupts the startup by going to "Starting Acronis UEFI Loader ..." which presents me with three options:

1. Acronis True Image 2015

2. Acronis System Report

c. Continue booting.

As I am, I think, using Acronis True Image 2016, I can see little point in option 1 and with no problems no point in option 2, so the only option I usually want is option c.

How can I compel the launcher to default to option c after, say, 5 seconds?

I am not always present when my computer starts up and at the moment it hangs on that screen until I touch the 'c' character on my keyboard, which greatly delays the starting up process in my absence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

David,

Have you double-checked that you don't have some bootable media, i.e. CD, DVD or USB stick connected to your system when you are starting up.  It is possible that this could be the source of the options you are seeing.

A further check is to see if you have the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager enabled - try disabling that if it is.

Thank you, Steve.

I do not have some bootable media connected to my system, although I will go into the start up to ensure it goes straight to my "C" drive.

I don't think Acronis Startup Recovery Manager was enabled, as I enabled it when I double clicked on it and disabled it the second time I double clicked on it.  But just in case I will try both possibilities.

Many thanks,

David

P.S.  I went into the Boot Sequence and noticed that the UEFI Loader was the first to be tried.  I changed that to the "C:" drive and Hey Presto I boot straight into my desktop with no need to hit 'c' or any other key.

Thank you Steve for giving me the suggestion.  It worked.

David, glad to hear you have fixed this issue, thanks for giving the feedback.
