System Clean-Up with ATI 2016 Only Removing Temp Files for Administrator user

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am using the System Clean-Up utility that comes with ATI 2016, and I am noticing that for the Temporary Files option, it only removes Temporary Files for the user that it is running under (an administrator). It is not removing any temp files under any other users' "C:\Users\[user ID]\AppData\Local\Temp\" folder.

I am running ATI2016 on Windows 10 Pro, if that makes any difference.

Is this by design, or is there some setting that would allow it to take care of the other users' temp files? Is this because I am running this utility as the Administrator? Any way around this? I tried searching for this on the forum and in the KB, but didn't see anything.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I believe that is by design.  Acronis only runs with the admin account, regardless of who is logged in.  You will find that the application does not even launch unless an admin account is used to move past UAC.  At that point, it is then launched with that admin account.  As a result, all configurations, changes, etc, are always in the admin account used to launch the application and create those tasks.

Most cleanup utilities will only work on the account they are run from.  The only exception I have found is the free DiskMax utility which will clean other user accounts, including utility accounts.
